Aureus™ audio DSPs represent the highest quality audio processing possible to
satisfy even the most discerning consumer, and support the latest and most innovative
audio processing features to enrich the audio listening experience.
The Aureus DA7xx family of audio DSPs is the latest generation of multi-channel
audio decoding and encoding DSPs providing price and performance needed for
any audio system. All four devices in the family are code-compatible and leverage
TI's investment in the TMS320C6000™ DSP core and Code Composer Studio™ toolset.
- TMS320DA710 and TMS320DA708 DSPs - The award-winning, high-performance DA710 DSP, along
with the DA708 DSP are ideal for designing applications that require multi-channel
audio decoding and post processing, as well as high speed encoding for commercial
or automotive markets.
- TMS320DA707 and TMS320DA705 DSPs - These new Aureus digital audio processors
provide a cost-optimized platform that brings more features and high-quality
sound to low- and mid-range applications requiring multi-channel decoding.
Aureus Multi-Channel Audio Decoding Solution
From multi-zone AV and DVD receivers, DVD players and automotive multimedia
systems, to home-theater-in-a-box systems, PC multimedia speakers, set-top boxes
and integrated HDTVs, the Aureus TMS320DA7xx audio processors surround the powerful
C6000™ DSP core with software for streamlining the customization process and
brings differentiated products to market quickly.
Developers can get started today with a DA7xx EVM from Momentum Data
Systems. The EVM serves as a prototype for an AV Receiver audio subsystem.
The EVM supports multi-channel analog inputs/outputs, SPDIF input/output and
a control card that serves as a host microcontroller.

Aureus High Speed Encoding Solution
Ranging from mini-component audio systems, automotive entertainment systems
and high-performance media servers, the Aureus DSP encode solution can be quickly
implemented in media systems to enable ripping and encoding at speeds up to
20X real time. Alternatively, the file can be encoded while it, or another file,
is playing. Developers can get started today with a DA7xx-based HSE EVM
from Mistral Software or Heartland Data Corporation (Japan). The EVM serves
as a development platform for any high-speed encoding system. The EVM supports
all the features of the high-speed encoding solution including USB, HDD, NAND,
(ATAPI, Serial) CD loader, SD/MMC and M-Systems DOC.
