C66x DSP – Tools & software
TI provides key runtime software components and documentation to further ease development. The following software components are the ones most widely used.
Processor SDK-RTOS provides DSP developers with full drivers and file system based on the TI-RTOS kernel, a light-weight real-time embedded operating system for TI devices. The SDK comes with chip support libraries, drivers, board support utilities, demonstrations and examples. The Processor SDK-RTOS allows developers to quickly start development of their own applications using CCS IDE for RTOS development.
Code Composer Studio IDE
Code Composer Studio IDE is an Eclipse-based integrated development environment for TI's DSPs, microcontrollers and application processors. Code Composer Studio IDE includes a suite of tools used to develop and debug embedded applications. It includes compilers for each of TI's device families, source code editor, project build environment, debugger, profiler, simulators and many other features. Code Composer Studio IDE provides a single user interface taking users through each step of the application development flow. Familiar tools and interfaces allow users to get started faster than ever before and add functionality to their application thanks to sophisticated productivity tools.
TMS320C6678 Evaluation Module (EVM)
The TMS320C6678 EVM enables developers to immediately start evaluating the TMS320C667x processor family (TMS320C6678, TMS320C6674, TMS320C6672 and TMS320C6671) and develop software applications with hardware testability and connectivity.
TMS320C6657 Lite Evaluation Module (EVM)
The TMS320C6657Lite EVM enables developers to immediately start evaluating the TMS320C665x processor family (TMS320C6657, TMS320C6655, TMS320C6654, and TMS320C6652) and develop software applications with ample hardware testability and connectivity.
AMC to PCIe adapter card (daughter card)
The AMC to PCI2 adapter card is a passive card that allows select TI EVM with an AMC header to be converted to a PCIe x4 lane edge connector so it can be inserted into a desktop PC or anywhere a PCIe header is utilized. Compatible EVMS with this card include the TMS320C6678 EVM and the TMS320C6657 Lite EVM.
In addition to development boards, TI publishes TI Designs to aid developers implement specific applications or functionality.
