Audio Processors – Tools & software

TI offers full featured Evaluation boards (EVMs) or low-cost Starter Kits for evaluation and development of audio applications on TI’s DSPs and SoCs. Audio daughter cards are also available that interface to our processor EVMs and facilitate the development of multi-channel audio applications like A/V receivers, soundbars, automotive amplifiers or mixing consoles. TI’s Processor SDK (Linux and TI-RTOS) provides a scalable and complete software package that allows easy migration across the product line. Start your evaluation and development quickly using the benchmarks, libraries and code examples provided in Processor SDK.

Reference designs

Voice-based applications

TI Designs reference examples are available for audio pre-processing functions that are required for Voice UI applications. These reference examples use microphone arrays and sophisticated signal processing algorithms on TI DSPs to extract clear audio from noisy environments.

Circular Microphone Array Reference Design

The PCM1864 circular microphone board (CMB) is a low-cost easy-to-use reference design for applications that use a microphone array to capture a voice signal, and convert it to a digital stream that can be used by DSP systems to extract clear audio from noisy environments.

Linear Microphone Array Reference Design

The PCM1864 linear microphone board (LMB) is an easy-to-use reference design for applications that use a linear microphone array (up to four) to capture a voice signal, and convert it to a digital stream that can be used by a DSP system to extract clear audio from noisy environments

66AK2G02 DSP + ARM Processor Audio Processing Reference Design

This is a reference platform based on the 66AK2G02 and the AIC3106 audio codec which enables a quick path to audio processing algorithm design and demonstration.

Beamforming, AEC and Telecom Libraries for C5000 and C6000 DSP

Libraries include VoLIB, FAXLIB and AEC-AER and provides components that, together, facilitate the development of the signal processing chain for Voice applications.

TMS320C55xx Chip Support Libraries (CSL)

The C55x CSL provides an API for configuring and controlling the on-chip peripherals for easy compatibility between various C55x devices.
