Software

TI provides key runtime software components and documentation to further ease development. The following software components are the ones most widely used.

Processor SDK

Processor SDK-Linux provides Sitara™ developers with an easy set up and quick out-of-box experience that highlights the features of TI's Arm processors.

Industrial Software for PRU-ICSS

Software supporting industrial communications on the PRU-ICSS is provided through PRU-ICSS-INDUSTRIAL-SW packages on top of Processor SDK.

Code Composer Studio (CCStudio)

An Eclipse-based IDE developed and supported by TI for TI embedded processor families, CCStudio software comprises a suite of tools used to develop and debug embedded applications.

Development tools

Four platforms are available to enable developers to explore the full functionality of the AM335x processors.

AM335x Starter Kit (EVM)

The AM335x Starter Kit (EVM-SK) provides a stable and affordable platform to quickly start evaluation of Sitara™ Arm® Cortex™-A8 AM335x Processors (AM3351, AM3352, AM3354, AM3356, AM3358) and accelerate development for smart appliance, industrial and networking applications.

AM335x Evaluation Module (EVM)

The AM335x Evaluation Module (EVM) enables developers to immediately start evaluating the AM335x processor family (AM3351AM3352AM3354AM3356AM3358) and begin building applications such as home/building automation, IoT, streaming audio and others.

AM3359 Industrial Communications Engine (ICE)

The AM3359 Industrial Communications Engine (ICE) is a development platform targeted for systems focusing on the industrial communications capabilities of the Sitara AM335x Arm® Cortex™-A8 processors.

BeagleBone Black Development Board

BeagleBone Black is a low-cost, open source, community-supported development platform for Arm® Cortex™-A8 processor developers and hobbyists. Boot Linux in under 10-seconds and get started on Sitara™ AM335x Arm® Cortex-A8 processor development in less than 5 minutes with just a single USB cable.

TI Designs

In addition to development boards, TI publishes TI Designs to aid developers implement specific applications or functionality.
