More Information

The current RUZ package used with CC1020 will be replaced by the RSS package to secure manufacturability and long term availability of CC1020, as described in PCN# 20141212001. Such changes are normal during the lifetime of a product and does not affect the availability or support of the CC1020 product. During a transition period defined in the PCN the existing package (RUZ) will be available alongside the drop-in replaceable (RSS) package. Note that when the CC1020RUZ-based products retire, new orderable part names need to be ordered as outlined in the PCN. This will be informed through the CC1020 product web page and the CC1020 datasheet accordingly when these changes occur.

Description

The CC1020 device is a true single-chip UHF transceiver designed for very low-power and very low-voltage wireless applications. The circuit is mainly intended for the ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency bands at 402, 424, 426, 429, 433, 447, 449, 469, 868, and 915 MHz, but can easily be programmed for multichannel operation at other frequencies in the 402- to 470-MHz and 804- to 930-MHz range.

The CC1020 device is especially suited for narrow-band systems with channel spacing of 12.5 or 25 kHz complying with ARIB STD-T67 and EN 300 220.

The main operating parameters of the CC1020 device can be programmed with a serial bus, thus making the CC1020 device a very flexible and easy-to-use transceiver.

In a typical system, the CC1020 device will be used together with a microcontroller and a few external passive components.
