))) Thax's new Findentity software uses TI's 13.56 MHz Tag-it™ smart label technology to find files, documents or objects instantly

))) DALLAS, TX (June 13, 2000)

Every day, important documents, files, books, design drawing, x-rays or even material samples disappear. Not any longer thanks to TI's RFID radio frequency tagging technology! Now with Thax Software's new Findentity® system, users can find files, reports, documents or other objects with one click of the mouse. The system uses Tag-it™ smart labels attached to each object or document and reports exactly whether it is in the pile of files on your desk, in a nearby room or in the archive. The location can be shown in a 3D graphic on a PC or by a laser beam that marks the object being searched for. Or you "call"
your desk and find out immediately what is located there at the moment. With "Findentity®", Thax Software has a solution that
makes the annoying search unnecessary and can revolutionise
office administration.

The "secret" behind Findentity® is a tiny batteryfree transponder
the size of a stamp made by Texas Instruments. The Tag-it™ transponder uses the increasingly popular 13.56MHz RFID
standard to allow instant location and identification of any items.
A Tag-it™ smart label is attached to each document or invisibly embedded into a folder. The smart label is read by strategically located readers, and the system informs users about the contents and whereabouts of documents.

The software allows any real objects to be linked via software to workflow and document-management systems. Thousands of objects can be scanned and located almost simultaneously – from any workstation. And with the use of mobile phones or the Internet, they can also be located while the user is on the move.
