Texas Instruments RFid Systems (TI-RFid™), a leading provider of RFID solutions to the security industry, is teaming up with ScreenCheck to offer the company’s Card Management System software with TI’s 13.56 MHz access control solutions.
ScreenCheck’s Card Management System (CMS) lets security personnel manage the entire employee badge issuing process, from printing the card and programming the RFID security and personnel data, to tracking, updating and deactivating cards. Coupled with ScreenCheck’s CMS, which links to existing human resources and other corporate databases, ScreenCheck offers an integrated solution for managing all aspects of RFID 13.56 MHz smart cards within an organization.
“With the adoption of new 13.56 RFID access control technology, one card does it all.” said Kelly Stark, business manager, access control, Texas Instruments RFid Systems. “Companies want to use one badge for parking garage, building access and network login, in addition to payment transactions at company facilities. To do that, they need powerful information management systems like ScreenCheck’s CMS that can link to databases across the enterprise and manage card issuing, processing and update functions with an easy to use interface.”
“One card fits all is no longer a thing of the future with TI-RFid™’s new access control solutions,” said Howard Quinn, director of sales and marketing, ScreenCheck USA. “Thanks to the proposed ScreenCheck software solution, card applications finally offer the required security, multi-functionality and flexibility that security managers have been waiting for.”
ScreenCheck’s Card Management System enables an organization to manage and distribute card requests, to track the life cycle of each card, and to personalize both the data on the RFID chip and the visual information on the card. Security Managers can utilize ScreenCheck’s CMS Badge Maker 5500 to print and encode TI’s vicinity badge in one step when connected to Eltron I-series printers. Cards are then printed with employee information, photos, signatures and even biometric information such as fingerprints. CMS stores all data related to the card and keeps track of the card’s status; whether it is renewed, modified or blocked status.
