))) Texas Instruments and BearingPoint Announce Alliance Agreement to Assist Companies with RFID Adoption

))) BALTIMORE, MD (September 28, 2004)

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN), a worldwide leader in RFID technology, and BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE: BE), one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms, today announced an alliance agreement to market products and services to customers in the manufacturing, retail, life sciences, financial services and government sectors. This agreement signals BearingPoint's and Texas Instruments' commitment to support the continued adoption of RFID to their current and future customers.

This relationship will leverage both firms' strengths for enhanced go-to-market and delivery capability. BearingPoint will provide services in consulting, systems integration, assessment, proof-of-concept, test management and program management. Texas Instruments will provide its suite of RFID products as well as competencies in semiconductors, microelectronics engineering and RFID equipment manufacturing experience. Both companies will focus on enhancing market adoption with EPC-related RFID initiatives.
