American Express® ExpressPay
Consumers with American Express RF-enabled ExpressPay™ cards or key fobs zip through check-out lines at participating retail stores with ease, confident that their accounts and transactions are safe and secure.
Based on Texas Instruments’ (TI) contactless payment technology, ExpressPay sends credit information wirelessly and securely to a contactless payment reader.
Both cards and fobs can be read by any contactless payment reader, including those at all CVS/pharmacy® stores and participating 7-Eleven® and McDonald's® locations. Regardless of form factor or where they are used, the cardholder does not incur additional charges or fees on the ExpressPay transaction. In addition, ExpressPay’s consumer appeal strengthens brand loyalty and encourages additional transactions.
TI’s unique capabilities provide the combination of security, flexibility and convenience for ExpressPay. As the only chip manufacturer that also manufacturers and integrates its own antenna design into the card or fob, TI works directly with American Express to create inlays that enable creative form factors and even enhance the appeal of the end product's design. ExpressPay utilizes the antenna as part of the card design (see photo) and has won graphic arts awards for excellence of design.
With TI as a partner, American Express' ExpressPay delivers the security, transaction speed and design appeal to satisfy consumers and retailers. |
