Leveraging its leadership in digital signal processors (DSP), analog and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), TI offers the Optical Wireless Solutions™ reference design that allows system developers to deploy 100-Mbps Ethernet connections - wirelessly!

Enabling Flexible, Fast and Standards-Compliant LAN Systems

At the heart of the Optical Wireless Solutions reference design is TI's Analog MEMS and DSP technology. The two axis, gimbaled mirror reflects light with virtually no loss in optical power. The DSP, coupled with the extensive control algorithms, steers the mirror with precision to a fraction of a micron while allowing switching speeds of less than 5 ms. TI's high speed, precision data converters, operational amplifiers, and power management ICs combine to offer the performance required to meet the overall system needs.
