Inertial measurement units (IMU) and inertial navigation systems (INS) are used to measure and report the velocity, orientation, and gravitations forces applied to a moving object. Typically used in applications such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), commercial aircraft, and submarines, these systems require high reliability components that help decrease the overall size, weight, and power (SWaP)
