Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs help you create small, reliable and more efficient audio/video receiver (AVR) systems that control high-fidelity audio and video playback from multiple sources. Advances in wireless technologies and audio over-internet protocol (AoIP) add a new dimension to traditional AVRs, enabling them to become a multi-room media hub.

Design requirements

Modern AVR systems require:

  • High-efficiency power management to reduce size, weight and heat.
  • High-fidelity audio amplifiers that reduce heat and protect speakers while maintaining ultra-low total harmonic distortion (THD).
  • Wired and wireless connectivity, such as Ethernet, HDMI, Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®.
