Description

Audio amplifiers, also known as power amplifiers, are used in many different audio applications from public address (PA) systems, meeting and conference rooms, to using high power amplifiers for concert halls and large venues. Highest sound quality with minimal noise and distortion, as well as having a low power dissipation that does not generate excessive heat in the system are design challenges for audio amplifiers. TI products are developed to address the key considerations of this application such as:

  • Output power wattage
  • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) plus noise
  • Number of channels (speakers) the amplifier can support
  • Ease of design with integrated modulators, FETs and protection
