Description

A lead acid battery consists of six cells connected in series, and the state of charge typically ranges from 10.6 V to 12.9 V. A lead acid battery’s state of health is permanently damaged when discharged beyond a lower threshold voltage. When it is charged above an upper threshold voltage, the battery becomes a safety hazard. TI solutions and reference designs allow extended battery’s life and increased charging efficiency, safely.
