Description

The nominal voltage of a LiPo battery cell is 3.7 V and consists of multiple cells connected in series and parallel. A LiPo battery’s state of health is permanently damaged when discharged beyond a lower threshold voltage. When charged above an upper threshold voltage, the battery becomes a safety hazard. This LiPo Battery Manager reference design solves these challenges by:

  • Charging the battery while extending its lifespan and runtime
  • Preventing hazardous conditions
