Product change notification

TI complies with JESD46 regarding product or process change notification (PCN), and J-STD-048 regarding the product obsolescence process. For product changes, TI provides notification of any change that may affect fit, form, function, or adversely impact quality or reliability. TI communicates about product changes to customers directly through an initial and final notification.

TI provides the following information a minimum of 90 days before the implementation of any notifiable change:

  • Detailed description
  • Reason for change
  • PCN tracking number
  • Product identification (affected products)
  • TI contact information
  • Anticipated (positive/negative) impact on fit, form, function, quality & reliability
  • Qualification plan and results (or qual schedule if results are not available)
  • Sample availability date
  • Projected production shipment date

TI reserves the right to make changes without notification when fit, form, function, quality and reliability are not affected. Instructions for customers to acknowledge receipt and other special considerations are provided in each PCN.

TI also provides product obsolescence notification and offers a Life Time Buy (LTB) opportunity where applicable. TI accepts customer orders for products up to 12 months from the date of obsolescence notification and allows an additional six months for delivery of any ordered product.

  • TI contact information
  • Last order date (no more than 12 months after notification)
  • Last delivery date (up to six months after order period ends)
