Overview

The DS80PCI800EVK is a 4 channel SMA evaluation kit. It provides a complete high bandwidth platform to evaluate the signal integrity and signal conditioning features of the Texas Instruments DS80PCI800SQ – 2.5 Gbps / 5.0 Gbps / 8.0 Gbps 8 Channel PCI Express Repeater with Equalization and De-Emphasis.

  • 0.2 UI of residual deterministic jitter at 8 Gbps after 40” of FR4 or 10m 30awg PCIe Cable
  • Low power dissipation with ability to turnoff unused channels: 65 mW/channel
  • Automatic receiver detect (hot-plug)
  • Multiple configuration modes: Pins/SMbus/Direct-EEPROM load
  • Single supply voltage: 2.5V or 3.3V (selectable)
  • 3 kV HBM ESD rating
  • −40 to 85°C operating temperature range
