Overview

Welcome to the LM5160 Buck Regulator Quick Start Design Tool. This stand-alone tool facilitates and assists the power supply engineer with design of a DC/DC buck regulator based on the LM5160 65V, 1.5A COT Buck Regulator. As such, the user can expeditiously arrive at an optimized design to meet the application requirements.

  • Determine output filter inductance and input and output filter capacitances
  • Select components for soft-start, EN/UVLO resistors
  • Optimize and choose the ripple injection circuit required for your application
  • Determine the minimum input voltage available for a fixed output and switching frequency
