Description

This SEPIC converter regulates current in 3 series white LEDs to 0.24A while operating over an input voltage range of 8.7V - 16.5V. The SEPIC operates at 1.2MHz, allowing the circuit to occupy an area of only 10mm x 20mm. Applications include an LED backlight for portable medical devices.

  • Low cost, small area, integrated FET design
  • Very good efficiency (86% at full load, 12Vin)
  • External PWM signal linearly controls LED current
  • Low profile (1.8mm max height)
  • Optional open LED status output signal
