85-265VAC Input, 5V/2A PSR Flyback Reference Design

PMP11185

Design files

Overview

The PMP11185 reference design uses the UCC28710 to provide an isolated 5V at 2A output.  The UCC28710 implements primary-side regulation, eliminating the need for an opto-coupler and reducing the size and cost of the design.  The supply has been optimized for minimal standby power consumption.

Features
  • Minimal component count provides low cost solution
  • Over 78% average 4-point efficiency
  • Constant current regulation prevents excessive currents in overload
  • Less than 20mW standby power consumption
