Description

A quasi-resonant primary-side regulated isolated Flyback is used to provide 12V @ 500mA from universal input voltage (90Vac to 265Vac). The converter does not employ any optocoupler and regulates the output voltage by sensing the auxiliary winding on primary side. A peak input voltage detector is used to sense input AC voltage, delivering 1/100 AC RMS equivalent voltage, with a +/-5% precision.

Features
  • Simple isolated PSR Flyback converter with integrated 700V FET
  • Compact solution ("L" shaped PCB) supplies 6W with almost flat efficiency (70%...83%) from 50mA to 500mA load
  • Opto-less topology increases the reliability of the power supply
  • Good output voltage regulation versus load: +/-5% in the whole temperature range
