Description

This reference design contains a unique LED Driver to be supplied out of a single or a dual cell lithium ion battery. The circuit in SEPIC topology accepts input voltages as low as 1.8V to 8.4V. The TPS43000 was chosen for handling  low input voltages. Current regulation is provided with a shunt resistor and operational amplifier (TLV6001U) circuit.

  • Reasonable efficiency
  • For LED with 0.8A current and about 3.3V output voltage
  • Total board size is 47mm x 47mm
