Description

PMP5761 is designed for hybrid filber/coax system with nominal 40VAC-90VAC input and generate a 24V/3.5A output. A cascade PFC and LLC-SRC two stage system is applied in this design to guarantee high power factor is achieved in nominal input range. Transition mode PFC controller UCC28051 and resonant converter controller UCC25600 are applied to PFC and LLC-SRC, respectively. With PFC output set to 300V, PMP5761 is able to keep out in regulation with input up to 200VAC. 80% converter efficiency is achieved at 40VAC and 87% converter efficiency is achieved at 115VAC.
