Description

This reference design is a quasi-resonant isolated flyback. The input voltage is the universal 85 - 265V AC range and two outputs provide 5V @ 250mA, from an LDO, and a regulated 24V @ 700mA, 2.5A peak for 30milliseconds, employing the UCC28600D Flyback controller.

Features
  • Greater than 83% efficiency at full load (24V/0.7A; 5V/0.25A)
  • Wide Vin capability (85Vac to 265Vac)
  • Capable of 60W peak power for 30milliseconds on 24Vout
  • The FET switches ON mainly at the valley of the transformer's voltage thus improving Coss losses
