Overview

This power reference design uses the LM5021 AC-DC Current Mode PWM controller. The switching frequency is programmed at 130KHz in an isolated flyback topology with minimal external components and small form factor size. The design is optimized for high-line input and 12V / 2A output. High Efficiency is achieved over load range thanks to the skip cycle mode and ultra low start-up current of the LM5021 controller.

Features
  • Fixed Swicthing frequency @130KHz
  • 86.6% efficiency achieved @ 230Vac input, 12V@2A output
  • 76.6% efficiency at 10% load
  • 130mA No load power disappation
  • Excellent Output voltage regulation achieved
