Overview

This reference design is a complete automotive USB charger solution from the car battery.
From a 9V to 40V DC input,  this design generates a 5V/2.1A output for smart phones and tablets.

  • Complete USB charging solution for automotive applications
  • Very compact size design, PCB layout is optimized and ready to use.
  • The TPS54240 provides very high efficiency (~93%) DC/DC conversion.
  • The TPS2511 USB power switch offers adaptive electrical signature to recognize adn charge many devices.
