5V@1.6A Isolated Primary-Side Regulated Flyback Using UCC28701 Reference Design

PMP8502

Design files

Overview

The PMP8502 reference design uses the UCC28701 quasi-resonant flyback converter to generate an isolated output (5V @ 1.6A). It is a low cost solution because no optocoupler is needed to regulate the output voltage.

Features
  • Wide AC input range (150VAC - 400VAC)
  • Over current, over voltage and short-circuit protected
  • Test report available
Output voltage options PMP8502.1
Vin (Min) (V) 150
Vin (Max) (V) 400
Vout (Nom) (V) 5
Iout (Max) (A) 1.6
Output Power (W) 8
Isolated/Non-Isolated Isolated
Input Type AC
Topology Flyback- Quasi Resonant
