Description

PMP8670 is a single-phase switching regulator accepting an input voltage range of 4.8Vin to 28Vin and providing an output voltage of 1.0Vout capable of supplying 12A of current. This design uses the TPS53014 synchronous buck controller and the CSD17327Q5A & CSD17301Q5A power block MOSFETs. This design is able to provide 12A continuous current to a FPGA, ASIC, or processor core out of a 12V bus. Due to D-CAP2 control, dynamic performance is outstanding and the transient response is ultrafast, which is well suited for low/mid voltage power cores.
