TIDA-00039

Design files

Overview

This reference design is a complete charger module for evaluating a multi-cell synchronous notebook turbo boost charge using the bq24735 devices. It is designed to deliver up to 4 A of charge current to Li-ion or Li-polymer applications. The charge current is programmable by SMBus interface through the EV2300 interface board. The reference design does not include the EV2300 interface board. In order to evaluate the this solution, a user must order the EV2300 interface board separately.

Features
  • # Series Cells: 1 to 4S
  • Max Input Volts: 24V
  • Max Charge Current: 8A
  • Topology: Switch mode
