Description

The TIDA-00496 TI Design is a compact brick for demonstrating capabilities of Precision PHYTERTM. As more systems in the power grid are using time information for real time analysis, timing becomes critical. This design achieves time synchronization with nanosecond accuracy using IEEE 1588v2 Precision Time Protocol (PTP).  It can be configured for 10/100 Mbps copper interface or 100 Mbps fiber interface with small form factor LC type transceiver.

  • Design based on DP83630 Precision PHYTER™ - IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol Transceiver which supports IEEE 1588 V1 and V2
  • Design tested for 10/100 Mb/s copper interface and 100Base-FX fiber interface
  • Tested for ESD IEC61000-4-2 contact discharge 6KV
  • Power < 300mW at 3.3V for Copper
  • HFBR-5961L/AL Transceivers for Fast Ethernet  with LC connector (<175mA for transmitter, <120mA for receiver at 3.3V)
  • Three Programmable LEDs for Link, Activity and speed
