Description

The TIDA-00690 reference design  offers a solution for energy harvesting switch. The switch, built like a linear dynamo, transforms the mechanical energy into electrical energy. This electrical energy is harvested in an optimal manner, thanks to the TIDA-00690 design. The design allows wireless position control of valves or other mechanical actuators, emergency switches and controller for machines start/stop. In addition, being wireless increases system flexibility and uptime, for example when mechanical vibration or chemically aggressive environment could render wires impractical.

  • Energy harvested: at least 0.16mJ (over 15ms)
  • BLE beacon transmission on 3 channels (8 bytes per channel)
  • Cableless (no power cable, no data cable)
  • Reduced maintenance costs
  • Temperature range: -40°C to 85°C
