Overview

This single-channel, input-isolated, three-wire current loop transmitter reference design provides a current range of 0 mA to 20 mA while operating on a 24-V supply. The design features a precision digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with an internal reference voltage, integrated three-wire current loop transmitter, and a digital isolator to realize the circuit goals. Protection circuitry is included to pass the IEC61000-4 tests.
