TIPD157

Single-Supply, Unipolar, Multiplying DAC Reference Design

TIPD157

Design files

Overview

This multiplying DAC (MDAC) reference design outputs unipolar voltages from 0 V to 2.5 V. This design does not require dual supplies to realize a unipolar, positive output voltage. This design removes the need for a negative supply rail by applying a bias voltage to the output transimpedance stage.

Features
  • TI Designs - Precision: Verified Design includes Theory, Component Selection, TINA-TI Simulation, PCB Schematic & Layout, Bill of Materials, and Measured Performance.
  • 12-bit, 0-2.5 V output
  • Multiplying DAC with single supply
  • <0.1 %FSR total unadjusted error
  • 1 LSB INL
