Overview

Texas Instrument’s TPD2S300 evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPD2S300 device. The TPD2S300 is a single-chip solution for protection of the USB Type-C configuration channels (CC). The device provides Short-to-VBUS Over Voltage Protection up to 22V for the CC1 and CC2 pins to prevent damage caused by a faulty connecter or mechanical twist shorting pins. The TPD2S300 also provides 2-channels of IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection for CC1 and CC2 pins of the USB Type-C connecter.

Features
  • IEC61000-4-2 compliance testing
  • USB Type-C Passthrough functionality
  • CC line overvoltage protection evaluation

  • TPD2S300YFF-EVM
