Description

Explore the next generation of capacitive touch with MSP MCUs featuring CapTIvate™ technology, the world’s lowest power capacitive touch MCUs

Free C libraries for enabling capacitive touch capabilities on MSP430 MCUs and MSP432 MCUs. The MSP430 MCU version of the library features several capacitive touch implementations including the RO and RC method. The MSP432 MCU version of the library features the RO and fRO capacitive touch implementations. In addition to the full C code libraries, hardware design considerations are also provided as a simple guide for including capacitive touch into any MSP430 MCU-based or MSP432 MCU-based application.

What's Included:

  • Full C code libraries for enabling capacitive touch capabilities on MSP430 MCUs and MSP432 MCUs
  • Common API across MSP430 MCUS and MSP432 MCUs
  • High-level function calls for various capacitive touch elements including scroll wheels, buttons and proximity sensors
  • MSP432 MCUs: Example projects that demonstrate the use of the library with the MSP432 LaunchPad Development Kit and the 430BOOST-SENSE1BoosterPack plug-in module and 430BOOST-SHARP96 BoosterPack plug-in module
