Description
The CC2591 RF Front End includes PA, LNA, switches, balun, RF matching network and inductor, and will increase output power and improve receiver sensitivity on a 2.4 GHz low-power RF solution. The CC2530 is an IEEE 802.15.4 compliant RF System-on-Chip.
The CC2530-CC2591EMK includes two CC2530-CC2591EM evaluation modules and antennas. The CC2530-CC2591EM board combines the CC2530 IEEE 802.15.4 System-on-Chip and the CC2591 RF front end, providing a powerful solution for IEEE 802.15.4 and/or ZigBee™ applications requiring long range (higher output power) and improved sensitivity. The CC2530-CC2591EMK allows you to evaluate the RF performance of the CC2530+CC2591 design, perform RF measurements and use it as a ready-to-use module in existing designs.
To use the module, a motherboard where the EM can be plugged in is needed. Compatible moterhboards would be the SmartRF05EB (Evaluation Board), SmartRF05BB (Battery Board) or SoC-BB (General Purpose System-on-Chip Battery Board). The two former are included in the CC2530DK and CC2530ZDK respectively. The SoC BB is sold as a separate board.
Features
The CC2530-CC2591EMK contains- 2 x CC2530-CC2591EM Evaluation Modules
- 2 x 2.4 GHz Antennas
- Quick Start Guide
The CC2530 devices are preprogrammed with a Packet Error Rate (PER) test application that lets the user perform range tests with the boards. It is required to have a SmartRF05EB (from the CC2530DK) in order to run the PER test.
