The CC2533DK development kit supports TI's second generation 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compliant System-on-Chip, the CC2533, and contains all hardware, software, and tools necessary to build your ZigBee RF4CE or 802.15.4-compliant product. The CC2533DK includes CC2533-based evaluation modules, development boards, a USB interface dongle, cables, antennas and documentation to get you up and running with the CC2533 fast. The CC2533EM evaluation modules can be plugged into SmartRF05EB boards, which are included in the Development Kit. The evaluation modules can be used as a reference module for prototyping and for verifying the performance of the CC2533 RF IC. The CC2533 RF SoC enables both consumer and industrial grade applications by offering state-of-the-art selectivity/co-existence, excellent link budget, operation up to 125°C and low voltage operation. The CC2533DK comes with various software examples including the ZigBee RF4CE compliant networking stack.

The CC2533DK is supported by IAR Embedded Workbench for 8051 (version 7.60 and higher), which is used with the RF4CE networking stack. IAR EW8051 contains a compiler, assembler, linker and debugger, supporting on-chip debugging and singlestepping using the SmartRF05EB or CC Debugger as debugger probes. IAR EW8051 is included in the development kit with a 30-day evaluation licenses (online registration required). By contacting IAR, a 30-day extension of the license can be obtained.
