The CC2533 RF4CE development kit is designed to support development on TI's industry leading RF4CE-compliant software architecture, RemoTI. The CC2533 chip is a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compliant System-on-Chip specifically tailored for RF4CE applications. The kit contains all the hardware, software, and tools required for evaluating, developing, testing, and debugging RF4CE-compliant products, both RF4CE controllers and target nodes (Set-Top-Box, TV, etc).

The kit includes an advanced programmable remote control with motion sensors (3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope), a programmable and flexible target module (receiver board) that interfaces via USB to a PC running emulation software, two different USB dongles, a debugger, and various cables. The target module enables easy development and test of target node functionality and the advance remote control makes it easy to develop and experiment with air-mouse-like pointing, keyboard, and consumer controls functionality for next generation remote controller products.

The RemoTI installer, available at, comes with the core stack library, ZRC and ZID profile support, remote controller and target module sample application code, remote control emulator tool, over the air download and serial boot loader demonstration code, and more.

(*) Previous versions of this kit (version 1.x) included a black, basic remote control unit. From version 2.x of the kit, this remote control is no longer available. The new advanced remote control covers all the features of the basic remote control.
