Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS) for Tiva™ C Series and Stellaris® MCUs: Device Header Files

TI's Standard Terms and Conditions for Evaluation Modules apply.

Texas Instruments supports ARM's Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS), a standardized hardware abstraction layer for the Cortex-M processor series. The purpose of the CMSIS initiative is to standardize a fragmented industry on one superior hardware and software microcontroller architecture.

CMSIS Compliant

The CMSIS enables consistent and simple software interfaces to the processor for silicon vendors and middleware providers, simplifying software re-use, reducing the learning curve for new microcontroller developers and reducing the time to market for new devices.

Key benefits:

  • A standardized software interface allows developers to make the switch from a competitive MCU to TI’s Tiva™ C Series microcontrollers and more easily migrate existing software to any C Series microcontroller
