Description
The DAC8581EVM features the DAC8581 digital to analog converter. The EVM module provides a quick and easy way to evaluate the functionality and performance of this high resolution serial input Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). The EVM provides the serial interface header to easily attach to any host microprocessor or TI DSP base system. Installed precision reference voltages of +5 VDC and +4.096 VDC are jumper selectable using onboard jumper W4. REF3040 (+4.096 VDC source) is pin compatible with the REF31xx family allowing a wide variety of reference values.
Features
- The EVM is compatible with the 5-6KINTERFACE board allowing use of the C3000 and C6000 DSP Starter Kits
- The EVM can connect to and interface to an MSP430 based platform
- Serial interface header to easily attach to TI DSP base communication systems
- Headers J2 and P2, top and bottom, pass through connectors are used for interface signals
- Output of the DAC can be monitored through the use of on board header connector J4
