Description
This EVM features the DAC8801 multiplying digital-to-analog converter (MDAC). It provides a quick and easy way to evaluate the functionality and performance of the high-resolution serial input MDAC. The EVM provides a serial interface header to easily attach to any host microprocessor or TI TMS320 DSP family base system for communications.
Features
- The DC power supply for the DAC8801EVM is selectable by changing jumper settings.
- Optional op-amp U2 can be installed to allow output signal conditioning
- An onboard precision voltage reference is provided
- External reference is configurable through jumper settings
- Two DACs can be stacked to yield a total of eight channel outputs using onboard jumpers
