Overview

The HDC2080EVM (evaluation module) is an easy to use, plug-and-play, platform for evaluating the functionality and performance of the HDC2080 humidity and temperature sensor.  The EVM utilizes a USB interface with MSP430F5528 microcontroller to establish communication between the HDC2080 device and PC GUI software.  The included software, OneUI, enables user interaction and control, and also graphically logs temperature and humidity from streaming data. The GUI also allows access to the HDC2080's configuration registers.  The MSP430F5528 provides an I2C interface that bridges communication from the PC to the onboard HDC2080 device.  The PCB includes a perforated edge that allows the sensor section of the PCB to seperate from the main PCB -- this enables fast prototyping of the sensor in other host applications, or allows remote sensing by extending communication wires.  The EVM is a complete evaluation kit that is compatible with Windows™ 7/10 operating systems.
