Description
SITARA LINUX SDK
Linux Software Development Kits (SDK) provide Sitara™ developers with an easy set up and quick out-of-box experience that is specific to and highlights the features of TI's ARM processors. Launching demos, benchmarks and applications is a snap with the included graphical user interface. The Sitara Linux SDK also allows developers to quickly start development of their own applications, and easily add them to the application launcher, which can be customized by the developer.
Linaro Toolchain Support
With the release of LINUXEZSDK v.06.0, TI further accelerates Linux development with support for the Linaro GCC-based toolchain. The Linaro toolchain is comprised of robust, commercial-grade tools which are optimized for Cortex-A processors. The tool chain is fully supported by TI and the entire Linaro community including Linaro staff engineers, member company developers and others in the open source community. Linaro tools, software and testing procedures are available in this latest release of the TI Sitara ARM Linux SDK.
Yocto Project™ Support
With the release of the LINUXEZSDK v05.06, TI began taking steps to streamline Linux development. This version adds OE-Core support, giving developers access to a layered structure that is merged with the Yocto Project. The Yocto Project is open-source collaboration spearheaded by the Linux Foundation to simplify the framework for building embedded Linux software distributions. TI makes this available through its Arago distribution. The Arago Project provides a verified, tested and supported subset of packages, built with a free and open tool chain. Additional resources on Yocto Project and TI’s Arago distribution are available at arago-project.org.
