The AMB8423 is the 868/915 MHz-version of the 2.4GHz radio module of the TI eZ430-RF2500. The AMB8423 uses an 868/915MHz CC1101 wireless transceiver instead of the 2.4GHz CC2500 found on the eZ430-RF2500T. The board also features a modified antenna design to support the new frequency band. All other functions of the boards as well as the interface are identical. Software for the AMB8423 must be configured to support the appropriate frequency range.
