Description
This system simulates a sensored indirect field oriented control of 3-phase induction motor with an “emulated” 3-phase induction motor model. The motor speed is controlled by using measured speed as the speed feedback from the induction motor model. The control strategy can be evaluated on TMS320C2812, C2811 and C2810 controllers without any power inverter and real induction motor. The system consisting of digital motor control modules is gradually built up until the speed control loop is finally closed. The incremental builds are included in the software to confidently build up the system.
The software for this system and associated modules offers two versions of data type:
1. ACI3_3: Floating-point system framework
2. ACI3_3: IQmath System Framework
The GLOBAL_Q setting (found in IQmathLib.h) allows one to rapidly adjust the overall Q number for the whole system. Thus, the “IQ” system can be easily evaluated in terms of overall resolution, dynamic range, or quantization problem. The simulated results from “IQ” system can be compared with that from “floating-point” system in order to see the effectiveness of 32-bit fixed-point arithmetic facilitated by “IQmath” library.
