Overview

The TIDA-00740 is an 8-52V, 4.5A, bipolar stepper motor drive stage based on the DRV8711 Stepper Motor Pre-driver and CSD88537ND Dual N-Channel NexFET™ Power MOSFET. Firmware on an MSP430G2553 is used to automatically adjust the stepper motor current based on the Back-EMF generated by the stepper motor.

Features
  • Reduces energy consumption of a stepper motor by 66%
  • Avoids stalling at variable loads and at variable speeds
  • Offers simple control of the stepper motor
  • Up to 52V and 4.5A operation
