Overview

The TPS54336AEVM-010 is a fully assembled and tested circuit for evaluating the TPS54366A synchronous step-down SWIFT™ converter. The EVM converts a 8-V to 28-V input voltage to a regulated 5-V output voltage that delivers up to 3 A. The TPS54336A enables small designs by integrating the MOSFETs and implementing current mode control to reduce external component count. Efficiency is maximized through integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, low quiescent supply current, and pulse skipping at light loads. Using the enable pin, shutdown supply current is reduced to 2 μA by entering a shutdown mode.

Features
  • 8-V to 28-V input voltage range
  • 96.5% efficiency (VIN = 8 V, IO = 0.7 A)
  • 0.6-V internal voltage reference
  • 2-μA shutdown quiescent current
  • High efficiency at light loads with pulse-skipping eco-mode
  • Monotonic start-up into pre-biased outputs
AC/DC & DC/DC converters (integrated FET)
