The Texas Instruments TPS54821EVM-049 evaluation module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the TPS54821 Synchronous Step-Down SWIFT Converter with Hiccup Overcurrent Protection. The EVM accepts an 8V to 17V input and provides a 3.3V output at 8A. Terminal blocks are provided for input and output voltages. Additional test points and jumper locations are also provided.

  • Integrated 26 / 19mOhm MOSFETs
  • Split Power Rail: 1.6V to 17V
  • 0.6V Voltage Reference With +/- 1% Accuracy
  • 200kHz to 1.6MHz Switching Frequency
  • Synchronizes to External Clock
  • Low 2uA Shutdown Quiescent Current
  • Monotonic Start-Up into Pre-biased Outputs
  • Overcurrent Protection for Both MOSFETs with Hiccup Mode for Severe Fault Conditions
  • Thermal and Overvoltage Transient Protection
