Programmable Differential Amplifiers

NEW! Programmable Differential Amplifiers

Easy-to-use single-chip solutions that can be easily configured to address the challenges of designing with traditional differential amplifiers to obtain desired gain, noise figure, linearity, and impedance all at once.

LMH6881 Single Programmable Differential Amplifier with Gain Control

The LMH6881 single programmable differential amplifier (PDA) provides optimized noise, distortion, and bandwidth performance over the entire gain range. Systems designed with PDAs are more flexible, significantly reducing design time, solution size, and BOM cost for a broad range of communications and industrial applications.

LMH6882 Dual Programmable Differential Amplifier with Gain Control

The LMH6882 dual PDA delivers all the performance of the LMH6881 plus channel gain matching of 0.2 dB and phase matching of 1.5° provide excellent image rejection for wideband zero IF and I/Q sampling applications.

LMH6881 and LMH6882 Features and Benefits

Optimized performance
  • Maintains excellent noise and distortion performance over entire gain range
    • 9.7 dB noise figure
    • 44 dBm OIP3 at 100 MHz
    • -100 dBc HD3 at 100 MHz
Easy to use
  • Gain control can be implemented via SPI bus or dedicated pin with no external resistors
Maximum flexibility
  • Support for DC/AC coupling and single-ended-to-differential conversion eliminates the need for a balun and enables the flexibility to operate from DC to high frequencies with minimal external components
