World's smallest 1.8A brushed DC motor driver

TI's new low voltage DRV8837 is the world's smallest 1.8A brushed DC motor driver. The DRV8837 comes in a tiny, 2 x 2mm 8-pin WSON package, a 75% reduction in size versus the next nearest competitor, enabling smaller, sleeker designs. At 280mΩ, the R_DS(ON) is half that of competition, supporting 1.8A continuous output current with excellent thermal performance. The small package size, low R_DS(ON), and ultra-low 35nA sleep current make the DRV8837 ideal for battery-powered or low-voltage motion control applications.

Target applications for the DRV8837 include toys, electronic locks, smart meters (gas or water), cameras, and micro-printers.
